Another yummy body scrub I can not wait to try Maria. I definitely wont be waiting till Autumn to try this, its only Spring here afterall xx
You should Lydia. You will love it. It’s SO yummy! 🙂 And yes, it’s perfect for all year round. xxx
Loved this post! I have complex skin issues and am always looking for a clean, healthy facial scrub. Going to try this one!
This scrub is for the body Jelica but you can certainly make a face scrub with a lot less essential oils suitable for your skin. Keep it to refined dark sugar, coconut oil and a drop of oil to start with. I personally wouldn’t recommend using citrus oils as they can be damaging to sensitive facial skin but maybe try a tiny drop of chamomile or rose in jojoba to see how you go. They are more expensive oils but worth investing in for your skin if you have issues with your skin. Goos luck! x
What a delicious sounding beauty product! I love the sound of it!
It’s such a nice product Ingrid. 🙂 x
Your scrub sounds amazing. I’ve made a lemon scrub before but, this makes me want to make an orange one. Pinned for later & shared.
Thanks for pinning and sharing Theresa! Glad you like the sound of it. 🙂 x
I love making my own scrubs and they make beautiful gifts. Found you on #SITS Sharefest.
They certainly are fa gifts Celeste 🙂
looks fab, will definitely be trying this out!! Quick question though. In an airtight container, how long will this last?! Can it go bad?! Is it one of those use within a week things?!
Hi Shauna, you can leave it a good 6 weeks. The only thing that it may loose a little of it’s fragrance. You are using all products that are long lasting like coconut oil, essential oils and sugar. You may want to either use less zest or non at all incase that goes off. I’ve some of my subs for 3 months + with no problem 🙂 Keep it in a cool place to guarantee longevity. Not the fridge as that may be a little too cold before using in the shower. Hope it turns out nice for you 🙂
I make a similar scrub in big batches for friends and family. They all demand it as part of their Christmas presents and for birthdays! 🙂
Perfect as a Christmas present Cole 🙂 I’ll be making a big batch of this one for Christmas gifts this year also 🙂
This is great! I love body scrubs and I love finding new ways to use my essential oils!
